THE FRIENDS OF ALL SAINTS', BRIXWORTH

and

THE HERITAGE CENTRE

The Friends of All Saints' organisation was formed in 1983 with the sole aim of caring for, preserving and fostering an interest in All Saints' Church. The President is the Lord Bishop of Peterborough. the managements of the Friends is the responsibility of a Council elected by members at the Annual General Meeting in June of each year. All the money raised, after deductions for administration and promotional costs, is used to support approved projects including the purchase of the Thomas Roe Charity School building in Church Street in 1983. After completing extensive renovation work (mainly volunteers) the Friends re-opened the building as The Heritage Centre on the 3rd June 1995 and now use its excellent display facilities to exhibit material and artefacts relating both to the history of the Church and the Parish of Brixworth. Most of the material depicting the history of the village is arranged by the Brixworth History Society's archivists Deni Willis and Pauline Kirton. The building is also used regularly by several education groups, local organisations and businesses. Toilet facilities are available at the Centre when openand light refreshments can be arranged by using the link "Visiting Parties"
